Beauty World Centre was opened in 1984 and it houses several eateries like Joo Mak Korean Restaurant and Beauty World Food Centre. The Centre is not too far away from NTUC Fairprice Supermarket and several amenities like banks, retail shopping at the nearest shopping malls and groceries.
Besides the mall, there are schools like the Nanyang Primary School, Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School, and Anglo-Chinese Secondary School. International schools like Hollandse School, The Swiss School Singapore, and German European School Singapore are nearby too.
