Description

Come and learn more about the Singapore Navy – how it began, the challenges the early sailors went through and overcame. Take a trip down memory lane, as you view the guns and other components taken from our early warships. You may even see the main gun and helm from one of our first ships, RSS Panglima.

Find out more about what makes the Republic of Singapore Navy a modern and integrated maritime fighting force – the naval platforms it possesses and the arsenal that they pack. The young and the young at heart can try their hands at taking out simulated enemy targets with the weapons that the Navy possesses, navigate a ship through the busy Singapore Strait, steer a submarine underwater, or get a glimpse of what it is like to be a commanding officer of a frigate.

The people in our “Navy Family” have been the driving force of the Navy’s achievements. See what they wear, the ties they have forged with their foreign counterparts and experience through their eyes the operations that that the Navy participates in. From the protection of our own shores and waters, they have also contributed towards numerous overseas operations such as providing humanitarian assistance during the disastrous Tsunami that hit Aceh, Indonesia in 2004 and countering piracy in the Gulf of Aden since 2009.

*Board SBS Bus 35 at Bus Stop 85091 (Tanah Merah MRT Station Exit B) and alight opposite RSS Singapura Changi Naval Base.
